they have some free one's,not the latest version.you can use your stand alone computer to burn.google nero and see what they have to offer.my burn died when my computer crashed,so i got a samsung external for 60 bucks at best buy came with lightscribe,nero software it's a dvd/cd burner,works great.i have yet to figure out lightscribe.also always use good disc's,i've had problems with cheap one's in the past.

Hey--that sounds like a good idea. I have had lots of burners, just the burner, go bad on a system, and getting some super duper stand alone one isn't that expensive...something to think about if it comes with everything like the one you describe.

Will Tell ... definitely invest in the stand-alone. I did about a month or two ago, and damn if it isn't worth every penny. Oh wait ... my burner drive is talking to me! What, what's that you say? Ahh, send Mr. Tell a copy of this very fine 6/14/69 show that just smokes along. What can i say WT, the drive has spoken. I must obey!

Thanks again, Arbuthnot...hmmm, now I suppose I know what will happen to me when I buy one of these talking stand alones...Oh well, if the forum leads me to the well, I must take a drink.
